EKAI ScalperPro LX

Dual-engine scalping Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 Evening Scalper mean-reversion on forex cross pairs plus Index Momentum trend-following on CFD indices — one EA, two strategies, auto-selected by instrument.

Version 7.10 · EKAITRADING / TSDCCORP Market depth. Engineering discipline.

OVERVIEW

EKAI ScalperPro LX is a dual-engine automated trading system for MetaTrader 5 that combines two independent, extensively validated strategies in a single Expert Advisor and auto-selects which engine to run based on the instrument attached to the chart:

  • Engine A — Evening Scalper: mean-reversion scalper for forex cross pairs during the London close window (default 19:00–23:00 GMT). Uses Z-score price extremes + Volatility Ratio filter to identify high-probability reversions during low-liquidity evening sessions.
  • Engine B — Index Momentum: trend-following confluence engine for CFD indices (GER40, DE40, US500, US30, NAS100). Uses the original seven-indicator confluence system (VWAP, Bollinger Bands, RSI, ADX, HTF Trend, ATR structure, swing lookback).

Both engines share a common institutional-grade risk and protection layer:

  • 10 built-in prop firm presets (FTMO 2-Step, FTMO 1-Step, FundedNext Stellar 2-Step, FundedNext Stellar 1-Step, The5ers High Stakes, FundingPips Standard, SabioTrade, FXIFY 2-Phase, E8 Markets, Goat Funded, Blueberry Funded, Get Leveraged) plus OTHER manual mode
  • Three Drawdown types (Static / EOD Trailing / Intraday Trailing) and three Calculation modes (Balance / Equity / Higher of)
  • Three Risk Profiles (LOW conservative / MEDIUM balanced / HIGH aggressive) that override individual settings in one click
  • DD-based risk sizing (Single Source of Truth): position size calculated against max allowed drawdown rather than total capital — survives ~200 losing trades vs ~12 in balance-based mode
  • News Filter via native MQL5 Calendar API with per-country importance filtering
  • FIFO Compliance mode for US/NFA brokers and compliant prop firms
  • Virtual SL/TP (stealth mode) for prop firms that penalize visible stop-losses — the EA tracks SL/TP internally and places a wide real safety backup
  • Smart Recovery (NO martingale, NO lot increase) — increases minimum confluence requirement after consecutive losses instead
  • Portfolio Risk Management: max concurrent trades, correlation filter (blocks trades on same currencies), per-symbol consecutive loss cap, defensive lot safety check
  • 24-character license key activation with 4-hour re-validation cycle and vendor contact fallback

The EA does not promise profitability. It is engineered as a disciplined, rules-based execution framework that enforces risk limits even when the operator cannot be at the screen. Validation history: GER40 engine recorded +$1,374 in account 22548013 during forward testing (past performance is not indicative of future results — provided as implementation reference, not as earnings promise).

DUAL-ENGINE ARCHITECTURE

Engine A — Evening Scalper (Forex Cross Pairs)

The Evening Scalper targets the London-close / Asian-open window where forex cross pairs (non-USD pairs) exhibit statistically significant mean-reversion behavior due to reduced liquidity and dominance of thin algorithmic flows.

Pairs supported: AUDCAD, EURNZD, EURAUD, AUDNZD, NZDCAD, EURGBP, GBPAUD, GBPCAD, EURCHF, CHFJPY

Timeframe: M5

Session: 19:00–23:00 GMT by default (fully configurable via InpEveningStartHour and InpEveningEndHour); optional skip of the 00:00–01:00 GMT rollover window where spread spikes typically occur

Signal logic:

  • Z-score of price calculated over InpZScorePeriod M5 bars (default 50). A price with |Z-score| ≥ InpZScoreThreshold (default 2.0) is considered a statistically extreme deviation from the recent mean.
  • Volatility Ratio filter: short-term ATR (InpATRShortPeriod = 14) divided by medium-term ATR (InpATRLongPeriod = 50). The engine only enters when the ratio exceeds InpVolRatioMin (default 1.0), meaning current volatility is HIGH relative to the medium term — a counterintuitive but validated insight: markets mean-revert when relative volatility is HIGH, not low.
  • Exit: TP/SL ratio of 1:1.5 by default (InpESPTPRatio), configurable per operator preference.

The Evening Scalper does NOT use the 7-indicator confluence system of Engine B. It is a dedicated statistical arbitrage engine with its own entry logic and TP/SL calculation.

Engine B — Index Momentum (CFD Indices)

The Index Momentum engine is the original seven-indicator confluence system from v6, carried into v7 with validated real-money results on GER40.

Pairs supported: GER40, DE40 (same market, broker-specific naming), US500, US30, NAS100

Timeframe: H1 or M15 recommended

Confluence engine: for each potential entry, the system evaluates seven technical conditions and only enters when at least InpMinConfluences of them align (default 4 of 7):

  1. VWAP position — price above/below VWAP with minimum distance of InpVWAPDevMult × ATR
  2. Bollinger Bands — price position relative to BB(20, 2.0) bands, optionally requiring close outside the band (InpBBReqOuter)
  3. RSI — overbought/oversold with configurable thresholds (default 70/30), optional divergence detection with lookback InpDivLookback
  4. ADX regime filter — ADX < InpADXMaxForRange (default 25) signals range regime suitable for mean-reversion fade; above triggers trend-following mode
  5. HTF Trend — EMA of configurable period (default 200) on H4 timeframe, with optional slope confirmation requiring InpHTFSlopeMinPct and InpHTFConfirmBars of persistent alignment
  6. ATR structure — ATR(14) based range measurement for SL placement
  7. Swing high/low lookback — InpSwingLength bars (default 5) for structural reference points

Entries pass only when the enabled confluences meet or exceed the threshold. Lowering InpMinConfluences increases trade frequency but reduces per-trade quality; raising it does the opposite.

Strategy Mode selection

The InpStrategyMode input controls which engine runs:

  • STRATEGY_AUTO (default) — the EA detects the instrument class from the symbol name and routes forex pairs to Engine A, index CFDs to Engine B
  • STRATEGY_EVENING_SCALP — forces Engine A regardless of instrument
  • STRATEGY_INDEX_MOMENTUM — forces Engine B regardless of instrument

The InpTradingMode input provides parallel asset-class calibration (AUTO / FOREX / CFD / GOLD) with asset-specific optimized parameters applied on top of the engine logic.

INSTITUTIONAL RISK ARCHITECTURE

DD-based risk sizing (Single Source of Truth)

The InpRiskBaseMode input selects how position size is calculated:

  • RISK_BASE_BALANCE — classic sizing against account balance. riskAmount = balance × InpRiskPercent%.
  • RISK_BASE_DD_LIMIT — sizing against maximum allowed drawdown. riskAmount = (balance × InpManualMaxDDPct%) × InpRiskPercent%. This is the critical difference for prop firm survivability.

Concrete example: $10,000 account with 6% max DD and 0.5% risk per trade:

  • Balance mode: riskAmount = $10,000 × 0.5% = $50 per trade → ~12 losing trades before DD breach
  • DD_LIMIT mode: riskAmount = ($10,000 × 6%) × 0.5% = $3 per trade → ~200 losing trades before DD breach

The 16x difference in survivability is why DD_LIMIT is the default for prop firm presets.

  • RISK_BASE_PROPFIRM_FLOOR — auto-calculated when Prop Firm mode is active. riskAmount = (equity - propFirmFloor) × InpRiskPercent%. Dynamically adjusts as the account approaches the floor.

10 built-in prop firm presets

Selecting InpPropFirmPreset loads the correct Daily Loss %, Max Loss %, DD type, Calculation mode and Reset Hour for that firm:

Preset Firm
PROPFIRM_FTMO_2STEP FTMO 2-Step Challenge
PROPFIRM_FTMO_1STEP FTMO 1-Step Challenge
PROPFIRM_FUNDEDNEXT FundedNext Stellar 2-Step
PROPFIRM_FUNDEDNEXT_1S FundedNext Stellar 1-Step
PROPFIRM_THE5ERS The5ers High Stakes
PROPFIRM_FUNDINGPIPS FundingPips 2-Step Standard
PROPFIRM_SABIOTRADE SabioTrade
PROPFIRM_FXIFY_2P FXIFY 2-Phase
PROPFIRM_E8_ONE E8 Markets E8 One
PROPFIRM_GOAT_2STEP Goat Funded Standard 2-Step
PROPFIRM_BLUEBERRY Blueberry Funded
PROPFIRM_GETLEVERAGED Get Leveraged Sr. Portfolio
PROPFIRM_OTHER Manual configuration

A Safety Buffer of 15% by default (InpPropFirmSafetyBuffer) is applied below the actual limit so the EA stops before the firm's rules are breached. Optional InpPropFirmAutoCloseOnBreach closes all open positions when approaching the limit.

Drawdown types (InpPropFirmManualDDType when preset = OTHER):

  • DD_STATIC — floor does not move
  • DD_EOD_TRAILING — floor trails at daily close (never ratchets down)
  • DD_INTRADAY_TRAIL — floor trails in real time (strictest)

Calculation modes (InpPropFirmManualCalcMode):

  • CALC_BALANCE — closed P&L only
  • CALC_EQUITY — includes floating P&L (stricter — matches most firms' real evaluation)
  • CALC_HIGHER_OF — maximum of balance and equity

Three Risk Profiles

InpRiskProfile applies a pre-tuned risk configuration in one click:

  • LOW (prop firm safe): 0.3% risk, 5 confluences minimum, 1 concurrent trade, DD_LIMIT mode
  • MEDIUM (balanced, demo scaling): 0.5% risk, 4 confluences minimum, 2 concurrent trades, DD_LIMIT mode
  • HIGH (personal accounts, experienced traders): 1.0% risk, 4 confluences minimum, 3 concurrent trades, BALANCE mode
  • CUSTOM (default): use individual input values below

Virtual SL/TP (stealth mode)

Some prop firms penalize visible SL/TP (classifying them as "set-and-forget" scalping), or require SL/TP to be invisible to the broker. With InpUseVirtualSLTP = true:

  • The EA tracks SL and TP levels internally
  • No visible SL/TP is placed on the broker's order ticket
  • When price reaches the virtual SL or TP, the EA closes the position via market order
  • A wide real backup SL (default 3x the virtual SL distance, configurable via InpRealSLMultiplier) is placed on the broker as a hard safety net in case the EA stops running

This behavior allows compliance with firms that explicitly prohibit visible pending stops while maintaining full risk protection against disconnection or EA failure.

Smart Recovery (NO martingale)

Classic recovery systems (martingale, lot doubling) are explicitly prohibited by every reputable prop firm. EKAI ScalperPro LX implements Smart Recovery as the only acceptable approach:

  • Does NOT increase lot size after losses
  • Does NOT reduce SL distance to force reversion
  • INCREASES the minimum confluence requirement by InpRecoveryConfBoost (default 1) per consecutive loss, making entries progressively more selective
  • At InpRecoveryMaxLevel (default 3) consecutive losses, forces a cooldown period before any new entry

The result: after a losing streak, the EA becomes MORE conservative, not less. This is the only recovery mode consistent with institutional discipline and prop firm compliance.

News Filter (MQL5 Calendar API)

With InpUseNewsFilter = true, the EA blocks trading around high-impact news:

  • Countries filter (InpNewsCountries): CSV of countries to monitor (US, EU, GB, JP, AU, CA, CH, NZ)
  • Importance filter (InpNewsImportance): 0=Low, 1=Medium, 2=High (default)
  • Pre/post window: InpNewsPreMinutes (default 30) and InpNewsPostMinutes (default 30)
  • Optional InpNewsClosePositions closes open positions before scheduled news

Uses the native MQL5 CalendarValueHistory API — no DLLs, no external services.

Portfolio Risk Management

Shared across both engines:

  • InpMaxConcurrentTrades (default 2) — hard cap on simultaneous EA trades
  • InpUseCorrelationFilter (default true) — blocks new trades on pairs sharing a currency with an open trade (e.g., EURUSD open blocks EURJPY, EURGBP, GBPUSD, USDJPY)
  • InpMaxConsecLossesPerSymbol (default 2) — pauses that specific symbol after N consecutive losses, keeps others active
  • InpUseLotaSafetyCheck + InpMaxLotSafetyMultiplier (default 1.5) — aborts the trade if calculated lot size exceeds expected risk by more than 50%, protecting against calculation bugs or broker tick-value anomalies
  • InpUseFIFO — enforces FIFO order management for US/NFA brokers and compliant prop firms

Daily Stop (CRITICAL)

  • InpDailyMaxLossPct (default 3%) — hard daily stop. All positions closed, no new entries until next day.
  • InpDailyMaxLossUSD — alternative dollar-based daily stop
  • InpDailyProfitPct (default 4%) — optional daily take-profit (closes all and stops trading when daily gain hits target)
  • InpMaxConsecLoss (default 3) — stop after N consecutive losses for the day

Weekday Hours (v6 legacy)

Granular per-weekday trading hours (overrides InpSessionMode when InpUseWeekdayHours = true):

  • Independent enable/disable per weekday
  • Independent start and end hours per weekday (broker GMT)
  • Default Friday end at 22:00 to avoid pre-close spread spikes

WHO IT IS FOR

Prop firm challenge traders running FTMO, FundedNext, Alpha Capital, The5ers, FundingPips, SabioTrade, FXIFY, E8 Markets, Goat Funded, Blueberry Funded, or Get Leveraged challenges. The 10 built-in presets, DD-based risk sizing, Smart Recovery, Virtual SL/TP stealth mode, and Safety Buffer specifically address what makes challenges fail.

Funded account traders who already passed the challenge and now operate real-funded accounts. The same protections apply — losing the funded account is more expensive than losing a challenge fee.

Operators of multiple accounts and strategies who want one EA that handles both forex mean-reversion and index momentum, auto-detecting which engine to run per attached chart.

Evening session scalpers targeting the London-close window where forex cross pairs exhibit the clearest statistical mean-reversion behavior.

CFD index traders operating GER40, US500, US30, NAS100 who want a validated confluence engine (the GER40 +$1,374 reference) with institutional risk management.

Operators who require stealth SL/TP for prop firm compliance — Virtual SL/TP mode with real backup safety net.

US-based traders and NFA-compliant brokers who require FIFO order management.

Experienced traders transitioning from v6 — v7 preserves the full v6 Index Momentum engine as Engine B, adding Engine A (Evening Scalper) as a parallel option. All v6 .set files remain compatible.

ScalperPro LX does not promise profitability. It is engineered as a disciplined execution framework. Trading involves risk of loss. Past performance (including the GER40 +$1,374 forward test reference) is not indicative of future results.
