EKAITRADING — Frequently Asked Questions

About EKAITRADING

What is EKAITRADING? We are a brand owned by TSDC CORPORACION S.R.L, a Costa Rican company dedicated to automated strategies and algorithmic trading indicators for NinjaTrader 8 and MetaTrader 5, in business since 2017. Each product is built with discipline of statistical validation — tested in-sample and out-of-sample before reaching the catalog — and is documented with the same honesty, including what didn't work and was discarded.

Why don't you show profitability figures like other providers? Because a past profitability figure, without the context of how it was validated, says nothing about the future. We prefer to show the methodology: what was tested, in what data window, and what limitations that test has. If at any time we publish results, they will be accompanied by that same information, never alone.

Do your products guarantee profits? No, and no serious trading product can guarantee them. Trading futures, CFDs and other leveraged instruments carries a real risk of capital loss. Our products are built with rigor, but rigor is not the same as guarantee.

What does it mean for a product to be "in validation" or "coming soon"? It means that the technical development is complete, but the statistical testing process (in-sample and out-of-sample) that we require before selling anything is not yet complete. We'd rather take a while to release a product than release it before we're sure its logic holds up.

Methodology

How do you validate your strategies before selling them? With an in-sample and out-of-sample validation process: the logic is adjusted with a part of the historical data, and it is verified that it continues to work with data that the system never saw. A strategy that only works in the window where it was calibrated does not pass our standard.

What happens if something doesn't work during development? It is documented and it is discarded — several product sheets explicitly mention configurations or filters that were tested and withdrawn due to contrary evidence, rather than hiding it. We consider that showing these decisions is part of demonstrating rigor, not a weakness to hide.

Do your indicators repaint? No. Signals and classifications are confirmed with already closed data (at the close of the bar or with the confirmation logic that each product documents in its technical sheet) — the objective is that what is seen in the backtest is the same as what would have been seen trading live, without signals that change retroactively.

Platforms and technical requirements

What platforms do your products work on? The "BM" line strategies and indicators are built for NinjaTrader 8. The ScalperPro line (LX and Forex LX) is built for MetaTrader 5. There are no cross-platform products.

Do I need NinjaTrader's Order Flow+ license to use their products? It depends on the product. Most of our order flow indicators (BMCumulativeDelta, BMVolumeProfile, BMTPO, BMChart) have their own calculation engine built specifically to not depend on that license. Some point products do use native NinjaTrader tools that require Order Flow+ for a specific optional filter — when that is the case, the product data sheet explicitly states this.

What is Tick Replay and why is it mentioned on some tiles? It is a NinjaTrader feature that allows you to replay trading history tick by tick, with real bid/ask data. Indicators and strategies that read delta or order flow need it to calculate accurate historical data. Without Tick Replay enabled, those products continue to work with real-time data without a problem, but the delta history is estimated rather than precisely calculated — and the product indicates it on the screen when that happens, so that an estimate is never mistaken for real data.

What is the minimum version of NinjaTrader 8 that I need? Our products are developed and tested on NinjaTrader 8.1.6.3 or higher.

Do they work on any instrument? Indicators generally work on any instrument with intraday or tick data, depending on the product. Automated strategies are calibrated for specific instruments (index futures, metals, energy — see exact instruments in each token), because a strategy validated on one instrument does not necessarily work the same on another without recalibration.

Do I need a prop firm account to use your products? It is not a requirement. Several products—especially in the MT5 line and NT8's risk management tools (BMTrailingGuard/BMRisk)—include specific setups for funding accounts, but work just as well in a proprietary or traditional brokerage account.

Indicators vs. Automated strategies

What is the difference between a "strategy" and an "indicator" in your catalog?

An automated strategy operates autonomously: it analyzes the market and sends orders without manual intervention. An indicator merely displays information on the chart (signals, levels, order flow)—it does not execute any trades. Some indicators serve as "signal companions" to a strategy (e.g., BMScalperSignal_V42 alongside BMScalper_V42): they share the exact same detection logic, but the indicator simply marks the signal, leaving the decision to the trader.

If I already have the automated strategy, do I also need its signal indicator? It is not necessary—they share the same logic. However, it makes sense if you prefer visual confirmation before automating, if your funded account restricts full automation, or if you want to learn the pattern by trading it manually first.

Can I use multiple products simultaneously on the same chart? Yes. Many are designed to complement each other—for example, a mean-reversion strategy paired with an opening-breakout strategy. These have intentionally low performance correlation, allowing them to cover different market regimes.

Licensing and activation

How does product licensing work? Each product is activated via a unique fingerprint of the machine (NinjaTrader) or the account (MetaTrader 5) where it is installed. This protects the product against unauthorized copying, and activations are independent for each product.

What happens if I switch computers? Contact us with your purchase details, and we will transfer the activation to your new machine.

What license tiers do you offer? Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual, and Lifetime, depending on the product—each product page lists the available tiers for that specific item.

Is the license tied to the computer or the trading account? In NinjaTrader, the license is linked to the machine. In MetaTrader 5, it is linked to the account number. If you trade using multiple accounts or machines, you should consider how many licenses you need.

Pricing and purchasing

How much do your products cost? Please check the product page

Do you offer refunds? Please check our Refund Policy page

What payment methods do you accept? Credit Card and Paypal

Installation and support

How do I install a product after purchasing it? Each product is delivered as a NinjaScript (NT8) import file or a compiled file for MetaTrader 5 (MT5), with step-by-step installation instructions included in the delivery.

Do you offer technical support? Yes, direct technical support in Spanish and English. Support channel (email, ticket, WhatsApp) with a window of 15 minutes to 4 hours response time

Do the products receive updates? Yes. When an improvement or fix is identified, a new version is released for those holding an active license for the corresponding product.

I found behavior that doesn't match the product specifications; what should I do? Contact us with the details—screenshots and, if possible, the NinjaScript Output log are very helpful for accurate diagnosis. We take this seriously: we prefer to fix a real defect rather than have it go unreported.
